Another Coronation Street cast member at the Manchester Pride 2010 parade was Beverley Callard. Bev’s character Liz McDonald carries on the tradition of the “mutton-dressed-as-lamb” barmaid, made famous by Julie Goodyear’s character, Bet Lynch.

Bev was given a warm welcome by the crowd – something that her on-screen character rarely gets!
