Fruit Bat in Vienna’s Tiergarten Zoo (B&W)

This fruit bat was part of a colony hanging out (sorry) in the Rainforest House at Vienna’s Tiergarten zoo. It wasn’t until I got back from holiday and looked at this picture on a large screen that I noticed the bat’s tongue!

As it was a very hot, sunny day and the creature insisted on silhouetting itself against the glass roof, it took a fair bit of processing on this photo to get some detail into the image, without overcooking it.
