The Photos Of Roy Cunningham

Took advantages of the sunny weather this weekend and went for a walk around the Wigan Flashes. It’s not an area I’ve been to before, but will definitely go again for the photographic opportunities.
This image is of a Gatekeeper butterfly (Pyronia tithonus), of which there were plenty around. The gatekeeper, also known as a Hedge Brown, is one of the more common meadow butterflies in England.
A small aperture was used in order to ensure sufficient depth of field on this image.
