Zebra Mongoose in Vienna’s Tiergarten

No, I’ve never seen one of these before either!

It’s a zebra mongoose (Mungos mungo), also known as a banded mongoose. It is seen here balancing on the rim of a plant pot beneath a heat lamp that has been installed in its enclosure in Vienna’s Tiergarten zoo.
