The Photos Of Roy Cunningham

A Coal Tit (Periparus ater) at a feeding station in Moses Gate Country Park, just a stones throw away from the centre of Bolton, Lancashire. This is a great place to see these birds at close quarters, thanks to the hide that overlooks the feeding station. The hide is situated by the Rock Hall Visitor Centre.
The coal tit is smaller and less colourful than either the great tit or the blue tit and can be distinguished by the patch of white at the back of its head.
