Red-Veined Darter Dragonfly On Wooden Gate

A red-veined darter (Sympetrum fonscolombii) resting on a wooden gate at the Cors Erddreiniog Nature Reserve near Capel Coch on the island of Anglesey.

This dragonfly seemed only a little wary of us and stayed reasonably stationary on the gate while we took it in turns taking photographs. A more detailed close-up will follow shortly.
