Common Darter Dragonfly On Branch At Far Ings

The first of two images of a common darter (Sympetrum striolatum) dragonfly. This first shot, taken at Far Ings Nature Reserve in North Lincolnshire, shows the darter clinging to the tip of a twig with its wings silhouetted against the bright background.
