Apparently there are 11 fairly common types of gull that can be seen around Britain at various times of the year – and I’ve no idea where the other 10 are hiding!

This black-headed gull (Larus ridibundus) was flying around a family who were throwing bread into the air near Titchfield Haven, Southampton on Saturday.
