The Photos Of Roy Cunningham

A black-headed gull (Larus ridibundus) picks up a morsel from the rising waters of the “spring tide” at Marshside, Southport on Friday.
(The term spring tide refers to a particularly high tide occurring at either a full or new moon and which is highest around the equinoxes. It is unrelated to the season of Spring and refers instead to the water “springing” forward. Apparently).

Excellent. Missed that one, but pleased with my shots.
