The Photos Of Roy Cunningham

This marsh harrier (Circus aeruginosus) managed to spook a lot of birds on the water at Leighton Moss at the weekend, including a grey heron!
It was while I was going through the photos I’d taken of the marsh harrier that I noticed one picture with the heron raising its wings towards the harrier, as if to ward it off. The next time I looked over to where the heron had been, it was nowhere to be seen!
Another heavily-cropped, distance shot. I really need to find a way to get closer to these birds (without being disguised as a heron!!)
