The Photos Of Roy Cunningham

Most RSPB members are happy to share their knowledge and help inexperienced folk like me. So I must thank the kind lady I met at Leighton Moss yesterday, who patiently pointed out the different types of wading birds and helped with their identification.
This one, she kindly informed me, is a redshank (Tringa totanus) in winter plumage and is easily distinguished by its red-black bill and bright red legs.
