The Photos Of Roy Cunningham

Living miles away from the countryside makes it necessary to travel to see sights such as the willow tit (Poecile montanus). Thankfully though, an hours drive gives plenty of scope – this specimen was seen at Fairburn Ings in West Yorkshire.
Having grown up seeing nothing but magpies, pigeons and sparrows (where are they now?), it’s always a thrill to see something different. In the few months since I turned my photographic attentions to wildlife, I’m constantly surprised by the number of different species that can be found if one actually takes the time to look.
