Walking through the RSPB reserve at Leighton Moss, I came across a moss-covered log that seemed to be attracting various birds. On closer inspection, someone had put a handful of seeds into a hollowed section of the log – presumably so they could take photos such as this.
This marsh tit (Poecile palustris) didn’t seem too bothered as to why this log had suddenly produced mixed seeds!
